Where can you find true Happiness ?

Where Can You Find True Happiness?

True happiness isn’t something we achieve or earn or stumble into by accident.
It’s something rooted in who we belong to, not what we have.

1. True happiness begins with God.

Every desire you have—for love, meaning, peace, purpose—was placed in your heart by the One who made you.
Only He can fill it.

Psalm 16:11 says it clearly:
“In Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Not temporary happiness.
Not emotional highs.
But fullness.

2. True happiness grows when your life aligns with His purpose.

When you walk with Him, listen to Him, surrender to Him, happiness becomes more than a feeling.
It becomes a fruit—steady, quiet, resilient—even during pain.

Nehemiah 8:10
The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

This joy doesn’t depend on circumstances; it flows from relationship.

3. True happiness comes from knowing you are deeply loved.

Loved enough to be created from nothing.
Loved enough that Christ took the cross for you.
Loved enough that you are constantly pursued, guided, protected, and treasured.

That kind of love is not fragile.
It doesn’t fail.
It doesn’t abandon.
And it is where happiness takes root.

4. True happiness is found when your soul rests.

Not in striving.
Not in comparing.
Not in achieving.
But in resting in Him.

Matthew 11:28
Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Rest → Peace → Joy → Happiness.

In one sentence:

True happiness is found in the presence of God, in the love of Christ, and in a life lived close to Him.

Flummoxed!!!

I find myself flummoxed by two profound thoughts, and I simply want to write them down here. I’ll talk more about them later.

Recently, I started reading A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson, and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it. But as I read, something even deeper has been stirring in my heart.

What amazes me most is how great God truly is. I feel humbled and overwhelmed by His power, His brilliance, and His absolute sovereignty. Who are we, really, that such a mighty God would care to create us at all? That question alone is enough to stop me in my tracks—but I’ll save that reflection for another time.

For now, I keep returning to the clues the Bible gives us about the mystery of creation. Every answer we seek is already there. Scripture tells us plainly that God created the universe from nothing—and remarkably, this is the same conclusion modern science has reached after centuries of study.

But then comes the thought that leaves me speechless.

This same Almighty God, who spoke galaxies into existence, chose to come down among us, and to die on a cross to save us—frail, imperfect, often insignificant humans—from our sins, so that we could have eternal life. That alone reveals the unfathomable depth of God’s love.

Just as we cannot fully comprehend the creation of the universe, we cannot begin to comprehend the limitless love of God. Both leave me in awe.

Love that is hard to understand

It needs to be felt

Gods Love.

The Love of God, Just baffles me. It defies everything. A creator, who will give his life for us ? It is beyond human comprehension.

There are a few questions, That people cannot understand. If God loves me so much, why i am facing these difficulties ? If God loves me so much why is he putting me through this ?.

If that is the question, that is keeping you away from understanding Gods love, Let me put a small thought here.

Imagine you are the creator of a robot. You will like it of course, But if you are going to remodel it, you will pull it apart for that purpose. Your thoughts are far higher and far greater than what the robot can imagine. In the same way, when God allows trouble, or hardship in your lives, it is not because he loves you less, it is for a purpose and for a good purpose for sure. Just that we will never ever live to understand it. Because the life that we know of, does not encompass our life lived in this world, it also accounts for the life after death. We surely cannot understand how it all fits in the big picture. So just Trust God, that what he is doing is good for you, even though it is hard now.

Please do not question Gods Love.

This is an example from my life.

There was a time in my life when everything was amazing, i had no worries and lived a very joyful life. I walked close to God, and one day i said to him, no matter what, i will never forget the kind of love you have for me, it is just so amazing.

Then later on i faced so many difficulties, and I questioned God on his love. I felt that he was away from me, and that maybe he did not like me anymore. Because all around me was pure darkness. I couldnt find anything Good around me. I questioned Gods presence, because i did not feel it. I did not feel Gods love, like i once felt.

Later did I know, that God had always been with me, irrespective of all the troubles i faced.

I dont know the reason for all that. But Gods purpose is great. He later revealed this verse to me, when i was recounting the happenings in my life and what a pain it had been.

James 1: 12

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

What does God like to see in us ?

We were in the process of purchasing a house, so I was pondering about different places, the cost of houses in various regions, and how location and income affect the value of a house. These thoughts occupied my mind and instilled a sense of unrest within me.

I wanted to talk to Jesus for a while, not for worldly blessings, but because He gives peace that nothing in this world can compare to.

I heated up some food, and settled down next to a window. There was a kind of peace I hadn't felt in a long time. I was thinking about places and people, watching a few folks walking by and the trees.

A thought came to my mind: Isn't this all created by God? Then, as I diverted my attention to the people going about their work, I felt that God asks us to care for and love others as we love ourselves. I wondered, what does God see in each of us? We are all created equal, but God has given talent, gifts, wealth, joy, and everything else in a dispersed manner to each of us.

What does He see in each of us? When I thought about the people walking by, some might be good, some not so good, some happy, and some sad. But what would capture God's attention? What is He looking for? Does anyone in this world get overlooked by God? No, never.

How do I know? Because the Bible tells us that long ago, God looked at the world and found only Noah to be a good man in His eyes. God was not pleased with anyone else. So, does wealth or fame or anything else really matter? The only thing that matters is the fear of the Lord, if you fear the Lord, you will also have a closer walk with him everyday. That is what impresses the Creator who has all the power and control in this world.

You might fear the Lord and... I was going to say that you might fear the Lord but not have all the blessings. But before I could say it, a verse came to memory. I thank God for revealing it.

 Psalm 34: 9-10
9 Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

 Psalm 147:10,11
 10 His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of the warrior;
11 the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.
